Shopping for souvenirs in China can be amusing. Back in 2002, when the Bush administration released a set of Iraqi terrorist playing cards with Saddam Hussein as the king of spades, tourists wandering between the booths of the Muslim street in Xi'an （西安）could find those cards among the typical ethnic Hui artwork. In preparation for President Obama's official visit to China next month, peddlers in Beijing have started selling shirts with Obama's iconic "Hope" pose, decked in a PLA uniform and red army hat. Underneath, in red calligraphic letters says either "Oba Mao" or "Serving the People". Looks like definitive proof of Obama's socialist undertones?
